Pamela has never written a book with a sad ending.

Pamela was born in New Zealand in 1934 and she used to teach art at secondary school.

Pamela Allen married a sculptor in 1964

She now lives in Sydney and is writing and illustrating full time!!

Joy Cowley By Eva

Joy Cowley, was born on the 7th of August, 1936, in Levin. She is a New Zealand writer with over 600 books written. Joy uses alot of hyperboles which make her stories interesting. She sets most of her books outside or in town. Joy uses alot of onomatopoeia, and similes. The problem in most of her stories are that someone loses something. Joy stared writing childrens books to help her son with his reading. She uses happy endings in all her stories. Joys books are happy and are exciting.

Dick King Smith by Paige Honeybone!!!

Dick writes mostly about animals especially pigs. He grew up on a farm and based his books on his animals. Dick was born and raised in Gloucestershine and he was a farmer for 20 years and still loves animals. He's books are loved by lots of children because most of his books are about friendship and the love from friends. Dicks most loved books are: The Gallant Pig and Babe. After living the life of a farmer he turned to teaching. Then he started to write books.
Dick currently lives with his wife in a small 17th century cottage, about 3 miles from the house he was born in. This is what his stories are like:>Mostly all about animals. >The books sometimes have very interesting problems.>The books have good endings.>His books are mostly about friendship and love.>Dick use's alot of onomatopeoia like: Puff, clanking, whisling, flop and wagging.>Dicks not so good at using metaphors.>He's got alot of good.>Dick use's his sets very well and he usually has his sets outside.>He use's very creative characters usually animals.>He has clever endings because he makes it sad but then he makes it happy!!!

Margaret Mahy by Rachel Hawkes

Margaret writes a lot of books for babys, kids, teens and adults. She loves to write interesting books from mythical creatures to mysteries. Her problems are mostly about wants - like the witch wants the cakes but the witch gets the bad ones.

Most of Margarets stories have happy endings. Margarets first book published was the Lion In The Meadow in 1969. She wrote her first story at the age of seven. My personal favourite is the The Witch In The Cherry Tree. Margaret is a very good (and my favourite) writer. I hope you like Magaret to.

Margaret Mahy by Molly-Rose

Margaret Mahy is a an author that writes both picture books and chapter books.

Most of her books have a happy ending and they always have a problem. Margaret wrote her first story just at the age of 7. Margaret has unusual problems like in the story The Mans Whose Mother Was A Pirate and all her characters are different. She has lots of different settings but most are at a house. She is a New Zealander and she was born in Whakatane, March 21st 1936. In 1968 an American publisher spotted one of Margaret's stories which had been published in a journal issued to New Zealand school's, they asked for more and Margaret sent them 100 different stories, fifteen years of unpublished work they were accepted.

I really think that her books are suitable for everyone, after reading her books I feel excited and I want to read more

As an author Tony Mitton uses rhyme, onomatopoeia and some alliterations. He always uses vehicles as his main characters and animals as his other characters. Tony Mitton never has problems. He uses his books to teach kids about vehicles.

He always has the ending at the same place where the story started. Tony Mitton always has happy endings. Tony's stories are good and I would recommend them to kids about 2 to 9 years of age that like rhyme, onomatopoeia and vehicles.

Joy Cowley is an author with a creative imagination.
Most of her books have lots of other characters, and all of them have a dog and a person. She always ends her stories with a happy ending, and of all the books I have read I have loved them all.

Joy Cowley does not write your everyday stuff, no, she writes weird and unusual problems from a hippo following you home, to a plum tree growing under your bed.
All of Joy Cowley's books include similes and problems and most of her books have hyperboles.

Joy Cowley lives in Wellington and she has written over 600 kids books.

I love her books and would recommend them to kids 7+!!!!!
