Lynley Dodd By Shakia Gregory-Hunt
The setting is in the neighbour hood / home.
The problems in most of her books are sad problems but sometimes they are happy and enthusiastic.
Lynley's endings are are mostly happy :) but sometimes they are sad :( endings.
She doesn't use much similes she only uses similes sometimes! But she uses exaggerations. Rhyme and repition as well !!!!!!
My feelings when i was reading the three books she wrote i was feeling happy :) and not down because it is not sad .

Margaret loves to write books so much she is now working in a childrens library in Christchurch.
She was born in Whakatane in 1936 and wrote her first story at the age of seven.
Margaret being the oldest of a family of five is maybe why family life dominates most of her stories.
She does not make all of her characters the same but sometimes they can be a bit bizarre and she does not use similes or metaphors.
Margarets settings are different and her problems are unusual.

THE LIFE OF A GUITAR.
THE LIFE OF A GUITAR.
Owww! my ears hurt so much!
Ewww yuck dirty hands.
The stench of them is so bad.
I hate my life I hate it!
When I get left out in the day I get left out in the day I get burnt!
And I hate my brown dull outfit I want a new one!
When people strum my strings it ache’s so bad.
Especially when they use picks!!!!
And the noise when they play.
I’m right up close they need better lessons!!
I’m so tired at the end of the day so I need a big sleep but
when I get up in the morning it just starts all over again!!
And another thing my owner Sammy the sprinkler.
When he sings he spits all over me!
Being a guitar is not easy not easy not one little bit!

Tissue Box by James
Just sitting there all day.
I have an oval mouth, plastic lips, a very white tongue and a rectangle body.
I really despair the days that someone has a runny nose.
I just HATE it when I have to clean up other peoples mess with my tongue.
My tongue is very fragile but it regrows instantly.
But just so you know I do have a limit of tongues.
I am a tissue box.

She should be here soon.
It's quiet when she's not here, I'm really lonely
BUT, when she gets back I can have fun playing.
I love my owner and I know she loves me to.

What am I?
I slither I slide but no im not a snake.

Im cold all year round I can never feel the warmth.
I do tricks and everyone thinks Im so clever.
I can pick up things so easily.
I'm ice-skates you see everyone just wants to be as clever as me.

Just waiting here for the night so I can sleep tight.
I am waiting for me and my partner to cuddle through the
dark scary night.
But when I get old my partner might leave me and I get a new partner
to help me through the dark, lonely night. by chris olsen
