Dick King -Smith was born in England. Most of his story's are about animals but sometimes his stories are about other things like ghosts. His story's can be chapter and picture books. Dicks settings are normally nature or farms.
The first book he wrote was the Fox Busters which was published in 1978.Dick always uses alliteration in his stories and sometimes uses weird names like Monty or Fly. Dick has one wife, three children and eleven grandchildren. He also served in world war two as a guard. Many of his story's are inspired by his farming experiences.
